40 Baskets for 40 Years

Each year, OWFI affiliates, Members-at-Large, speakers, and friends prepare fabulous baskets of goodies, usually centered around a writing-related theme of their choice, and put them up for silent auction at the conference. All funds raised go to support OWFI conference and general fund expenses, including scholarships.

Each affiliate club and others who are interested in doing so are encouraged to create a decorated basket to place in the Basketwars Silent Auction. The baskets will  be placed in a display room for all attendees to view and place silent bids during the conference.  The chairperson will oversee the bidding  and announce the winning bidders during the conference. 

This is a fundraising  method with moneys going to the operation of the annual Conference and general organization, so please be generous with your donations. You can help us meet this year's goal of 40 Baskets for 40 Years of OWFI.
