OWFI offers Affiliate and Member-at-Large (MAL) memberships.
Affiliate members are those OWFI members who belong to an Affiliate group of OWFI. The annual membership fee for an Affiliate member is $20.00.
Members-at-Large are individuals who are not also a member of an OWFI Affiliate. The annual membership fee for a MAL is $25.00.
OWFI holds the oldest and most respected annual writers' conference in the Midwest. While you don't have to be a member of OWFI to attend, being a member entitles you to early registration.
Being an OWFI member also:
- Lets you enter the annual OWFI writing contest, which is held in conjunction with the conference
- Gets you a copy of each of the quarterly OWFI The Report newsletters
- Gives you access to the Members Only page on this website, which hosts a variety of useful information, including announcements about upcoming, non-OWFI writing contests.
- Puts you in touch with a large network of working writers.
