Guidelines for Conference Sponsorship
OWFI will seek and accept sponsorship for the Annual Conference under the following rules. An individual or corporation can sponsor particular events, but cannot be a sponsor for the Conference itself. Sponsorship categories include:
Ø General/Category ($50-$150) — Unspecified general support for the Conference; Category half-sponsor ($52.50); Category full sponsor ($105).
Ø Session/Reception/Luncheon Workshop/Créme-de-la-Créme ($150-$500) — Sponsorship of a conference speaker’s session/workshop ($150); New Members/First Time Attendee or the Volunteer’s Reception, luncheon workshop or Crème-de-la-crème half-sponsor ($250) or full sponsor ($500).
Ø Speaker/Banquet/Happy Hour co-sponsor ($500-$1000) — Speaker who attends the conference. Must be chosen from the list of speakers approved by the OWFI President: half sponsor ($500) or full sponsor ($1000); Friday and Saturday “Happy Hour” half sponsor ($500) or full sponsor ($1000); Co-sponsorship of the Friday or Saturday night banquet ($1000).
Sponsor donations with unspecified events will be designated to a specific event.
All sponsors receive:
Ø A Listing in the Conference Program and/or the Contest Booklet plus the Report if sponsorship is received by appropriate deadline.
Ø Mentioned and thanked at the beginning of any event they sponsor
Ø Sponsors are urged to provide pamphlets, flyers, handouts, door prizes etc. (approved by the President) to be included in the registration packets or made available in the conference Handouts Room.
In addition, sponsors in the amount of $500 or more will receive a brief write-up in the OWFI Report with sponsor-provided copy (not to exceed 250 words; editor reserves the right to edit the copy) and a poster display of the donor’s creation, approved by OWFI President. Donors of $1000 will have the opportunity to speak before a banquet that they co-sponsor, limited to 5 minutes, and one free banquet ticket. Donors may decline these forms of recognition and may remain anonymous if desired.
Sponsors do not receive:
Ø Report ads for free as part of sponsorship
Ø The right to a presentation session.
Ø Free table at a banquet.
Ø Free conference registration or hotel rooms at the conference venue.
The OWFI secretary will write an official Federation thank-you note to these donors. All board members and affiliates are also encouraged to do so. Treasurer will furnish contact names and addresses to board members and for inclusion in the post-conference edition of the Report.
