If you're an Affiliate Group, or a close-knit group of writers, and you'd like to sit together, your best bet is to reserve a table. It's as easy to do as filling out a form. (Check the banquet table reservation page for table availability.)

Time Commitment: One-hour shifts, during set-up and at the end of the auction.

Not only are we looking for individuals and affiliates to dontate baskets, but we need help manning the auction tables during the conference.  Shifts are one hour, and we will need the most help during set up and at the end of the auction. Please let me know if you you'd like to help.

Book Room and Author Signings

Chair: Christine Jarmola
Time Commitment: One-hour shifts Thursday evening and all day Friday and Saturday during book room hours. Only need one person per hour.

Author Signings: All speakers, OWFI officers, & authors published since our last conference who are registered for the conference are invited to have their books in the book room. There is no charge to participate. Sign ups for book signing slots will be posted soon.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours after the Friday night banquet.

Buzz Sessions are informal talks held after the Friday night banquet. They are a popular event at every conference. These sessions are a great way to mingle with members and share information in a very relaxed, informal atmosphere. If you have a writing-related area of expertise to discuss, sign up to present a session. We also need people host and coordinate the sessions.

Support our contest by sponsoring a category. A donation of $105 covers all the cash awards for a category. A half-category sponsorship is $55. Donations of any amount are needed and welcome!

Back by popular demand, our costume contest will take place at the Friday night banquet. Come to the banquet dressed as your favorite hero or villain in either film, TV, or Literature. Prizes will be awarded for: Most Creative, Most Whimsical, Most Historically Accurate, Best Ensemble, Best Over-All.

At the Friday night banquet we will recognize all OWFI members who have published books since the last conference. No charge, but you must sign up in advance to be included.

Help with scheduling, ushering, and timekeeping during the agent/editor pitch sessions.

Full (two-day) and Partial (one-day) Conference Scholarships are available for qualifying applicants. Lodging and extra tickets, lunches or workshops are not included. Membership in OWFI is not required, but suggested. Applications for scholarships must be received not later than March 1, with notification of selection by March 15. Apply now!
