Are you looking for a fun, competitive way to contribute to the OWFI scholarship program?
We’ve got two words for you: Basket Wars!

What is Basket Wars?  Essentially, it’s the life force of our scholarship program. Affiliates and/or individuals create and donate “baskets” to be auctioned off. Tables will be set up to receive the donated baskets at the OWFI Conference upon check-in. There is no limit to the number of baskets donated. Remember: basket is a loose term. Find a vessel, fill it up!

Competitive Divisions: Don't forget now… this is WAR!! Awards will be presented to the basket with the highest bid in each competition category! We're breaking the competition into two divisions: affiliates and individuals. Winning categories are large and small baskets. Large baskets include containers with 15 or more items; small baskets have 14 or fewer items.

There will be one winner for each of the following:

  • Large basket by an individual

  • Small basket by an individual

  • Large basket by an affiliate

  • Small basket by an affiliate

Guidelines

  1. Be creative! Be as generous as possible, but remember, this is a voluntary project.

  2. If you’d like to RSVP your basket, please fill out the form below. This helps Jayleen prepare her space, however, you can still bring last minute donations even without the RSVP.

  3. Each basket needs to have a Basket Item Form attached. If you RSVP your basket entry, you will receive a confirmation email that contains the form or you can download it here.

  4. The results of the silent auction will be posted by the tables where the baskets are displayed.

  5. The auction will end at noon on Saturday of the conference. Winners will be announced no later than 12:15 p.m. Please have your basket picked up by 1:30 p.m.

  6. We will accept cash, check, or credit card.
