Writing Workshops, Festivals, and Conferences

The Pen and Keyboard Writers invite members and visitors to attend sessions about improving writing. The September meeting will be "Giving Your Character Character." Due to several members attending the Ozark Creative Writers Conference, the October meeting is cancelled, but the November meeting's title is "Putting Your Characters in Their Place: a discussion about setting." December's meeting will be the Christmas party BYOCS (Bring Your Own Christmas Story).

Book Celebration – Vivian Zabel's New Novel

Jacque Graham and others are hosting a book celebration to announce the release of Vivian Zabel's newest novel, Burnt Offering.

The celebration will be held at the Edmond Community Center at 28 East Main Street in Edmond, Okahoma, on June 28, 2019, from 2–4 p.m.

February 9, Mike Hinkle will be the special speaker at the Pen and Keyboard Writers regular meeting. Mike is the author of The Butane Gospel; was a former weekly columnist for The Edmond Sun; is regular contributor to Boomer Living; engaged in a life-long quest for the perfect pie, the smoothest bourbon, good music, eccentric characters, and the magic lamp. After retiring as an attorney, he received his MFA from Oklahoma City University.
