Each May, OWFI celebrates authors who’ve published in the last year, recognizing them during the Friday night banquet of our annual conference. If you’ve authored a published book, an active blog, or journalistic contributions, we want to brag about you!
Follow the instructions below to email your information to our Famous Authors chair, Jennifer McMurrain between March 18th and April 28, 2024.
Published Book aUTHORs:
Did you publish a book from May 2023 to May 2024? Then we want to celebrate you with our Famous Authors Presentation. All books, collaborations, and anthologies (fiction and nonfiction) published, traditionally or independently, are acceptable. Collaborations and anthologies can include other authors, but the person submitting to the Famous Authors Presentation must be a member of OWFI. Please email the following information to Jennifer:
Your name or pen name (however you want to be introduced)
Title of your book
Date your book was published
Tag line or short blurb, limited to 50 words.
.JPG or .PNG of your ebook cover
BLOGGERS & jOURNALISTS:
Do you blog? Do you write regularly for newspapers, magazines, or journals? We want to feature you in our Famous Authors Presentation this year!
If you have had an active blog from May 2023 through May 2024 please email the following information to Jennifer:
Your name or pen name (however you want to be introduced)
Title of your blog
Tag line or short blurb, limited to 50 words

If you have published articles in magazine, newspapers, and journals from May 2023 through May 2024 please include:
Your name or pen name (however you want to be introduced)
List of the periodicals you've been published in during the time period of May 2023 through May 2024
Screenshot of no more than 3 articles (these will not be large enough to read, but will add a nice touch to your slide)
April 28th is a hard deadline, so get that information in ASAP after March 18th!!
